Te Mata Peak
Definitely one of the areas biggest attractions! A range of walks and tracks to suit most fitness levels, and some suitable for prams.

Tainui Reserve
A fantastic spot as a combination of Keith Sands Grove, Tainui Reserve, and other small reserves. A great forest for walks, a couple of streams, and fantastic places to make forts, climb, run, adventure on bikes - the list is endless!
Some pram access to the lower parts (which has plenty of space), but not accessible for prams going up the hill.
Best place for parking and access to the stream and open grass area is either the end of Keith Sands Grove, or top of Keirunga Road.
Best parking for access to reserve/trees either top of Keirunga Road, or Tainui Drive.

Karituwhenua Stream Walkway
Beautiful walkway, most of which is not likely to be pram accessible.
Parking on Te Mata Road.

Arataki Link Reserve
Walkway between Arataki and Te Mata roads. Lovely long pathway perfect for scooters and bikes. Well off the road, but there are no fences at either end so monitor kids when entering and exiting the reserve.
Parking on Arataki Road or Te Mata Road.

Palmbrook Reserve
A great series of walkways that lead you behind Te Mata School, Havelock North Intermediate, and Havelock High School. Perfect for scooters and bikes! Lots of open space too. Playground for toddlers and young children best access off Fairview Place, but can be accessed via the walkways.
